Frequently Asked Questions
Why can hiring Arborists be expensive?
With many factors and each job being different, although seeming the same, the multitudes of factors include tree species, power lines, vicinity to a house or another structure, water mains, septic, etc.
With every movement comes calculated risk to property as well as life. We consider every little detail and factor that could cause damage or loss, and with that comes a monetary increase, as it is a life-threatening and dangerous job.
Do you personally need to quote every job?
Yes, I will have to come out to the site before I will give a rough estimate. I also want to meet you in person, so we can discuss and share the problems at hand.
For example, maybe just pruning the tree instead of full removal. Which may even help save some financial stress as well. We're here to help out, and to do that, I need to be there to see the whole picture.
Why shouldn't I do the job myself?
There are many hours and countless courses that even the most knowledgeable arborists throughout the world have. Yet they still are always searching, learning, researching, and developing new techniques and learning new science about dendrology, arboriculture, and botany.
Working with a chainsaw is dangerous. Even more so; if you do not have any experience, once you start adding factors like a house 5ft away, with a broken branch and a septic line underneath it directly makes it exponentially more dangerous. If I feel uncomfortable doing the job, I will recommend someone that can; risk vs safety is determining factor #1.
Hiring a trained and qualified tree surgeon will ensure to mitigate that risk dramatically and also care for the tree in the best way possible.
What is your typical price range for jobs?
That is very difficult to answer, but we do free estimates* directly in front of you and are happy to discuss.
